CatHunter is an innovative social network designed specifically for street cats and their admirers. Our platform is pioneering the use of advanced cat recognition technology, which allows users to identify cats through their phone cameras. We are committed to building the most comprehensive database of both urban and domestic cats, along with their populations. As CatHunter evolves, we plan to introduce a range of new tools aimed at enhancing communication with cats. These tools will be developed either internally or in collaboration with external teams.
At the heart of our research and development efforts is a keen interest in technologies capable of recognizing the unique poses, walks, sounds, and intraspecific communication of street cats. Our objective is to translate these technological advancements into user-friendly features within the CatHunter app or through additional applications developed using our platform's API.
To engage our community, we utilize a collection of reliable methods for gathering real-world data on cats, contributed by our users. The initial phase of our database collection will be gamified to foster user participation. Following this, we will adapt our approach based on the feedback received from interactions between street cats and humans.
We are excited to announce the upcoming launch of an alpha version of CatHunter, which will include basic functionalities such as cat recognition and registration. Interested individuals are invited
to apply for early access by completing a registration form. We aim to actively reward our most engaged participants, with the ambitious goal of registering the first million cats in our database.
Although CatHunter is a global project welcoming urban cats from all around the world, it proudly originates from Istanbul.
